Their services include IT and business training, custom curricula development, and other learning-related consultation and support. Learning topics range from various software, hardware, and cybersecurity to interpersonal and professional development.|
While Jeff Wishner, President of Learning Consultants, was familiar with the Federal Business Opportunities website (FBO.gov) and had submitted bids in the past, he wasn’t familiar with the communication and follow- up practices of working with government procurement (i.e. direct connections, capabilities documents, etc.). Further, he wasn’t familiar with opportunities outside of FBO.gov nor how to identify them.
A Norcal PTAC Procurement Specialist helped Jeff identify bid opportunities though a custom bid match profile, discussed proposal submissions, templates and formats for effective marketing to government buyers, and shared procurement forecasts, resources and training opportunities. With some guidance, Jeff completed all of his eligible state and federal certifications, received his cybersecurity certification, produced a capabilities statement, and initiated a plan for connecting with government procurement agents to establish an ongoing relationship for opportunities that might not arise on FBO.gov.
Jeff has completed all eligible state and federal registrations, and designed marketing materials specific to government procurement. Jeff has further submitted bids for a number of RFI’s and RFP’s, attended numerous presolicitation meetings and industry days, and will be attending the National Veterans Small Business Engagement event in Nashville, TN in December 2019. Jeff expects to win his first contract in the very near future.
